Amazing place to meet, socialise and drink. This had been our Gambian 'local'. Really great staff and daily 'happy hour' offers. Husband liked the draught beer!! We never ate there, however the food that came out looked very good. Definitely recommend a visit!!

Spanish wine & tapas spot at the entrance of the strip. Spending a lot of time in the Gambia, the owners have managed the impossible of transporting you somewhere else (especially if you sit facing inwards) & that is a great thing as far as I'm concerned, a little escapism.
It's a hub for the Spanish speaking expats and as such during football games (especially La Liga derbys) the tavern turns into a vibrant spot where you soak up a bit of atmosphere while having a cold drink & nibble.
The drink selection here is extensive - they have good spirits - & they also sell good quality Spanish wine at reasonable prices compared to other restaurants of a similar standard.
The Winery sits in that sweet spot of sitting between a premium venue that is still accessible in terms of it's price and atmosphere. Its perfect place for a solo trip, as a couple, or with friends for shared food and drink.
The food somewhat authentic but depending what you order it can be pricey, such as imported Iberico ham or whole grilled octopus. Having said that you get what you pay for and there are also affordable spanish omelettes & varieties of croquettes for example which are also very tasty. So there's something for everyone. I would recommend the whole grilled calamari which is delicious. It's popular for Paella.
Weekends and later on in the evenings the volume gets turned up a bit as the focus shifts from food to drink but it's never overbearing which is great if you're having conversations.
I usually visit here in the evenings, but I do see it to be quite busy in the late afternoon too.

The staff at the winery are wonderful, it's quite loud on an evening so it's easy to be misheard and they were all clear and double checked our order to make sure it was correct. We were apologised to for the wait but weren't even waiting long and the food was perfect. The sangria was spot on and they serve beer on draught. The standout for the evening was our server Ebrima who was kind, professional and great fun. Of you're staying in any of the nearby hotels you should definitely check out the winery.

Terrible, got the tapas order wrong, then I got my main with all I can say was scrap chicken, then had to wait 20 more minutes for my husbands undercooked food. I would definitely walk straight past this eatery, many more worthy down the strip .
