We visited African Queen for dinner whilst in The Gambia and the food was delicious. We got there about 830pm and the place was packed, we had to wait a few minutes for a table but we're glad we did. They have an extensive menu and they cater for everyone, including vegans and vegetarians, which made us happy! We had the potato and kidney bean casserole and the black eyed peas chilli, both served with rice. The Cristal beer is cheaper here than most places too. Even though the place was extremely busy we didn't have to wait long for our food. The staff were friendly and attentive and they looked like they had everything under control. The guitar playing street artist was a nice touch as he sung Redemption Song on request. They had a small TV that was showing the AFCON football too. The restaurant is open from the morning so we plan to go there for lunch on our last day before making our way to the airport.

Went here after getting a personal recommendation and we were not disappointed. We ordered 2 mains , the Beef tahonga special sizzler and the chefs seafood platter. Both were visually stunning, very filling and more importantly very tasty. A lovely restaurant on the strip and definitely recommended if you're in the area.

Great place to eat. Atmosphere is good and busy. Service was a little slow to start with, but that's probably because they were busy. Big menu and good food. Paul is a great member if their team!!

when arrived for lunch here and the main person at the entrance was pleasant enough to be welcoming but not over bearing unlike some of the people on the strip.
Gave us time to look thorough the information and when we ordered there was some food envy, my food was still what I wanted but the rice in a heart shape was also cute. They had the original Guiness beer for the region which is more bitter.
Food was nice but when paying, there where a bit shy. tried to get the waiter to come over but eventually, walked over to the bar and paid.
Prices, was reasonable. Hard to find a comparison like for like
